Readers browse your help center by category. The home lists your top-level
categories, and each one has a page of its own at its name, such as
/billing.
Add a category
Open Categories and choose New category. Give it a name and one line of description: both show on the home.
A category can have sections, one level down: choose its parent when you add
it. A section has no page of its own. It is a headed part of its category's
page, such as /billing#taxes, listed under "On this page".
Put articles in order
Open Articles, then choose a category in the Category list and Show. The articles are in the order readers see them. Drag an article by its handle, or use Move up and Move down.
Rename or move
When you rename a category or an article, or give it a new address, its old address keeps working: readers who follow an old link land on the new one.
A category that still holds articles or sections cannot be deleted. Move them first, so nothing is lost.
When you have more than twelve top-level categories, the home lists them as a compact index by name, so it stays on one screen.
